Moose of Fire Productions takes a small selection of the things inside Ellie Swann’s head and makes them real. Past productions include A Hundred Words for Snow (2019-2022. Winner – Dunedin Theatre Awards Emerging Talent: Laniet Swann), BRinG bAck ThE STaR FOunTAIn (Dunedin Fringe Festival 2025. Winner – Warwick Broadhead Memorial Award), BRinG bAck ThE STaR FOunTAIn REDUX (Dunedin Fringe Festival 2026), and Magic Tricks for Dogs (Dunedin Fringe Festival 2026. Nominee – Warwick Broadhead Memorial Award).
Ellie Swann is an Ōtepoti Dunedin local. She has worked in and around theatre and performance for a number of years, and is a co-founder and current General Manager of New Athenaeum Theatre. As well as producing and performing in her own works, her recent acting credits includes The Neurospice Girls (Hic Sunt Dracones, 2025).
